Hotel Madinat was one of the highlights of our trip to Andalusia. We did the Camino Mozarabe, so we stayed in many hotels along the way. When we ended up in Cordoba at Hotel Madinat, we were immediately welcomed with refreshments in an ancient Arab looking home. The staff goes out of its way to accommodate any needs one may have. The building is a charming old home transformed into a charming hotel with all the modern amenities. We highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed thus quirky, quiet small hotel and the help from Youssef and Cristian at the front. The location was excellent. A short walk from the mosque and other sights, but on a quiet street not likely to see high tourist traffic. Great views from the smal rooftop balcony.

All staff were very helpful but paling happened to be on duty when we needed lots of things booking and she was hyper efficient!

Lovely stay at Hotel Madinat. Very good location not far from the mezquita. Nice breakfast. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a ground floor room with an enormous roman(?) bath big enough for 2 or more people. I think that’s because we booked direct with them. The staff are lovely, and there’s a great view from the terrace. Parking was easy to find and not far away, though it is not cheap.

Highly recommend! Well located on a quiet street in the old town. The hotel is lovely - updated but with many original details retained. Great room, very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. A good value.

An absolutely stunning hotel with warm and professional service. The rooms are beautiful, the courtyard is breathtaking and the hotel has been sympathetically restored and decorated to its former glory. The service from Youssef and the team was faultless, could not have asked for better. I will definitely return.

Greeted with refreshing drink, room was ready early, prepared breakfast early, quiet respite, beautiful room, wish we spent more time there - too busy sightseeing. Cordoba is worth an overnight- especially here.

An excellent boutique offering consistently good and personalised service; we stayed for four nights on our first visit to Cordoba. The whole building has been sympathetically restored reflecting the multi-layered cultures of this beautiful city. The attention to detail was apparent throughout and our room on the second floor was an oasis, within an oasis. The aircon was especially efficient, and quiet. The views from the roof terrace should not be missed and can be seen on the two attached photos. The hotel was very well positioned for the old city. Thank you for a wonderful stay please pass on our comments to the excellent and well-trained staff.

Lovely welcome and a delightful room. The hotel is ideally located and close to the cathedral, river and more, with just a short taxi ride to the train station. Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were helpful and friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stsy at Hotel Madinat. The staff were most helpful and attentive, and our room was truely dreamy. A great experience in the heart of old Cordoba. ???

Delightful little boutique hotel on a charming, quiet street that is still close to the key attractions. The hotel is in an older, renovated mansion that fell into disrepair but has been restored beautifully by the hotel owners. Our room was small but stylish with day bed to sit on and tile from the original house. There is a nice upstairs partly shaded terrace with great views. Our check in was the most personal check in I think we have ever had.

The staff at Hotel Madinat are exceptional in every way. They were helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the room at the hotel and the location could not have been better. We recommend the hotel for your next stay.

Our group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Madinat. It was a fascinating site in a superb location that offered really nice and sometimes, unique, rooms. All of the facilities, toiletries, towels, bedding, etc. in our room were absolutely top notch. Service was nothing short of impeccable, and I particularly wish to mention Youssef, who primarily took care of us during our stay. He was a gentleman and a scholar to us, and was always there when we needed him. Just an outstanding guy to have on the staff!! I 100% recommend the hotel on your next stay to Cordoba, and if we head back, we'll look no further than the Hotel Madinat. Not to mention - A glass of wine (or 2) on the rooftop terraces was also a pleasant and really cool surprise. Overall, a wonderful experience for all of us and quite deservedly a 4* hotel rating.

Upon coming through the doors of the Madinat I was unsure about the hotel. Five minutes in I was enchanted. The service was 5 star. They were dedicated to my comfort. My room was spacious, great linens and held everything a traveler expects in the most clever ways. Great shower. Breakfast was sumptuous and service was attentive. Location is perfect. Just far enough away from the crowds and close to the river with its artisan shops. I treasure this place.

Entering by walking down old Cordoban streets, you feel as though you are traveling back in time. You come to the Casa de Los Siete Cabezas and are mesmerized by intesely intersting history. Staff greets you with a cool, sweet drink and explains the hotel & amenities in a quiet & beautiful sitting room. You go up stairs to one of the 3 terraces and are stunned by the city view. Rooms are cool, comfortable & quiet. As you venture from Madinat through old town, you are shock by how conveniently located it is. Staff gives you recommendations to the best sites & restaurants in the city. On and on it goes. Best possible experience. Worth every penny.

5 score ….the only negative was the room where the bathroom wasn’t exactly private , sliding glass door - sound and vision ! Very friendly and efficient staff , excellent breakfast and lovely room otherwise
